| Confirmaton and clarification |

A week and a half ago, a story broke that Natalie had turned down a role in the upcoming film, Doubt, because she didn't "understand celibacy".
Firstly, if Natalie ever needed insight in what its like to not get laid, she could always drop me a line. Secondly, I was finally able to get some not very surprising confirmation.
Yes, Natalie was approached. Yes, she turned down the role. No, the real reason she passed had nothing to do with the celibacy.
My source was also able to confirm that the faux perfume ad is true. I'm hoping to get some more details at a later stage but its possible the ad will only be seen in the museum exhibit.

Pity that nobody in Natlie's camp bothered to refute the rumour publicly. It has been reported all over the place so the prevailing attitude that Natlie is shallow and stupid for turning down the role will continue.
Maybe the celibacy reason wasn't true but I still think it was extremely foolish to turn down a role in "Doubt". |

| It was because it broke around Thanksgiving. I'm also disappointed she didn't take the role (not that I've seen the film or read the book), considering two talented former co-stars are in it...but perhaps they weren't attached at that stage. |

| Too bad people will still be quoting the "Natalie Portman doesn't understand celibacy!" thing for months, either insinuating that she's a nympho or she's a stuck up Harvard grad but doesn't know the definition of celibacy. *sigh* People are so dense. :( |

Sorry-don't know what happened to my 'a' key in my previous post!
Natalie's PR are v. disappointing. Doesn't matter when the story broke, they have had weeks to refute, and haven't bothered and the story has spread everywhere. It's pretty ridiculous Dazza had taken it into his own hands to contact his source or else we wouldn't even know this much. |
