Taking advantage of her stay in New York, Natalie attended this past Tuesday the concentrations that the WGA has been holding in recent months in the city. The writers’ guild met with the AMPTP this Wednesday and will meet again this Thursday. Let’s hope that an agreement is reached between the parties, and that the actors are the next to achieve it….

Natalie also attended another event at the United Nations today: From Equality to Equity: empowering women and girls everywhere is a SDG Media Zone event celebrated at the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly this Monday. Natalie is back in the US, at least temporarily. She attended a conference today at the United Nations about the Spotlight Initiative: a movement in partnership with the EU and other partners aiming to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls. Almost three months ago it was announced that the Deauville Film Festival would pay tribute to Natalie for her entire career. Select films from her filmography were also going to be screened throughout the festival, closing with a special screening of “May December,” her latest film. Unfortunately, Natalie was unable to attend due to the actors’ strike, but director Todd Haynes took her place at the tribute today and presented the film to the audience.
