Well… first of all: Happy New Year to everyone… even if it’s a bit late. After a few days with the website down, we’re back this year with renewed energy.

We have at least three projects on the horizon for 2026: The Gallerist, directed by Cathy Yan, which will premiere on January 24th at the Sundance Film Festival; the release of Lena Dunham’s Good Sex on Netflix sometime this year; and filming in the UK in March for Photograph 51, directed by Tom Hooper.

But before all that, we have the official US premiere of Arco on January 23rd. This animated film, produced by Natalie Portman, had a technical release in November in order to qualify for the Academy Awards, and now North American audiences will be able to enjoy the film in a wider release.

Finally, although the film didn’t win at yesterday’s Critics Choice Awards, it received five nominations today at the Annie Awards, which specialize in animated films. Hopefully, it will have better luck at these awards, whose ceremony will be held on February 21st:
