Arco continues to rack up nominations. This time, the Critics Choice Awards have selected it for Best Animated Feature. The awards ceremony will be held on January 4th.
The National Board of Review, the oldest film critics’ association in the US, has named Arco the best animated film of the year. This is yet another award to add to the accolades of the film directed by Ugo Bienvenu and produced by Natalie. One Battle After Another, Paul Thomas Anderson’s film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is the best film of the year according to this long-established association. Completely unexpected news! Natalie has been nominated today for Best Voice-Over Performance in a film at the Astra Awards, presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance. Arco has also been nominated for Best Animated Feature.

There have been some special screenings of “Arco” this weekend (one in New York and two in Los Angeles), and although Natalie attended at least two of them, there are hardly any photos from those events. Arco opens this week in US theaters in a limited release, and Natalie Portman, Sophie Mas, and director Ugo Bienvenu are promoting the film at various public appearances. Neon, Arco’s American distributor, has released today the final trailer for this animated film produced by Natalie (who also voices one of the characters in the English version). The film premiered in France at the end of last month and will now be released in the USA on November 14th. Enjoy the tráiler after the jump:
