Lost in translation

Natalie’s Cold Mountain Promo tour is starting and It really is begining to feel like Christmas!

We should quickly see her funny face on tv again since she’ll be on Jon Stewart on December 16th and on Conan O’Brien on December 19th!

Entertainment Tonight unveiled a clip of Jude Law and Natalie on Thursday and Northernboy was nice enough to encode it in .avi. Titooy converted it in .mpeg for the Mac users like me.

AMC showed a new trailer and the “making of” documentary is coming up soon, on A&E and on BRAVO.

Three premieres are scheduled yet:
Los Angeles Dec 7
Chicago Dec 8
New York City Dec 9
Let’s hope Natalie will at least attend the New York one on tuesday.

Back on the Nicole Kidman tribute at the American cinematheque aired on Thursday on AMC…

Titooy uploaded the video of her on stage speech in.avi and .mpeg files.

The eonline.com Fashion Police reports that the oh-so-discussed dress was signed Armani:

All Clear
Natalie Portman shows her true self at the American Cinematheque Awards in Los Angeles. The girl-next-door innocently strips down to a black-beaded Armani shift and black ankle-strap heels. See the flesh-colored bodysuit? That’s how to do sheer without sleaze. And with her almond eyes and baby bangs, it’s easy to see why people call this Star Wars hottie a 21st-century Audrey Hepburn. We just wish we could clone Portman’s style sense directly into the genetic makeup of, say, Britney.

On the np2k Natalie Portman message board, a fan tells how he managed to attend the awards show and got to see Natalie up close, and also got her autograph:

Nov 26: I have known this one guy for a long time who is involved with some company that goes to all these awards shows. He got me a free ticket to this award show. At one time during the show when he was escorting Natalie Portman to her limo he gave my pass to Natalie Portman and got her autograph for me.

A big thank to Cal from the AQMB forum for most of these Cold Mountain infos!

Last good news of the day, “Garden State” directed by Zach Braff has been selected for Daramatic compétition at the 2004 Sundance Film Fest (Jan 15-25)!

Guess what other movie will be shown there… “The Motorcycle Diaries” by Walter Salles, starring some unknown named… Gael Garcia Bernal.

Hum. 🙂
