January Vogue Cover

By December 12, 2010Nat-news

Shoe89 spotted the January cover of Vogue US at blog générique de mode. Can’t wait for this to hit the newsstands.

Natalie Portman is Vogue US’s graceful January covergirl. Divine in J. Mendel’s hand-pleated silk chiffon dress, Portman is the epitome of elegant, independent style. After her much buzzed-about role in Darren Aronofsky’s psycho-thriller Black Swan, Vogue is the most appropriate and chic media outlet for the screen starlet to discuss the challenges and rewards of her controversial role. I am simply in love with this timeless, gorgeous cover.

    Looking forward to the photoshoot + interview. Whilst Nat looks gorgeous as per usual, THAT cover…is a whole lot of BORING (with a hint of photoshop fail)

    I love the dress…. but I do NOT love this cover… her face looks off for some reason. And Natalie seriously looks like she’s about to fall asleep. Hopefully Vanity Fair and Instyle will be better.

    The cover is pretty bland. The last few US Vogue covers have been blah. 🙁

    I hate the tagline.

    This just looks like a bland continuation cover from one of her more beautiful, Star Wars-era Vogue shoots. A little boring on the cover…but we’re spoiled and have been getting to see clips of her acting and chatting, etc…A few months ago any mag cover woulda had us all excited. Can’t wait for the article, though. As long as it’s not a huge re-tread.

    @Jenski: seriously…it’s the worst

    Cover is meh. I hope the rest of the photo shoot is better.

    “The good girl takes on her most provocative role yet”…lol

    Didn’t even notice the tagline until now. Cringe-worthy.

    I actually really like the simplicity of the cover. It’s elegant. I like the refined makeup, and the shot reminds me a lot of her first Vogue cover (which I only remember because I thought that dress was awesome and completely would have worn if I woke up a millionaire 😉 ).
