Great news! It was announced today that Natalie is nominated for Best Lead Performance at the Independent Spirit Awards. Other actors nominated for that category are Jessica Chastain (Memory), Greta Lee (Past Lives), Trace Lysette (Monica), Judy Reyes (Birth/Rebirth), Franz Rogowski (Passages), Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers), Teyana Taylor (A Thousand and One), Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction) and Teo Yoo (Past Lives).

May December has earned five nominations (including best feature, director, supporting performance for Charles Melton and best first screenplay for Samy Burch), sharing achievements with films like “American Fiction” and “Past Lives”. The awards ceremony will be held on February 25.

Let’s hope this is the first in a long line of nominations for Natalie and the film directed by Todd Haynes throughout the awards season.
