part 1

Hiya

3 days without an update…you poor guys and girls. Must be mentioned that I did send out a newsletter though.

Anyway, let’s catch up, shall we?

Eneco found that there’s a clip from Garden State up on IGN. It’s from their first meeting and includes some rehearsal takes. Go check it out here.

James and Stacy sent in the link to an article from Skynews. Now, these quotes have been bobbing around for a few days but I thought they seemed very familiar. But now the quote is getting more detailed and I’d definitely have remember the Last Tango mention. So this is definitely new although I’m quite sure her position isn’t. Maybe Mart can find the old quote. Anyway, here it is:

Natalie Portman has said she would consider appearing nude on film after all if she was offered the right part.

The Star Wars actress once vowed never to reveal all on screen – but has now changed her mind.

Teen Hollywood quoted the 23-year-old as saying: “I wouldn’t say ‘no, never’.

“I just think that setting limits on yourself is silly because there might be a day when you change your mind.”

She defended her change of heart, saying: “Consistency is way over-rated. It’s much better to flow with the times and the context and see how you feel.”

Portman, who also starred in Leon, said of nude scenes: “I wouldn’t say I would never do it, but I do think it’s rare when it’s necessary.

“I guess it would be hard to do Last Tango In Paris without nudity.

“That’s a film that you couldn’t have made without it – but it’s not a film that I would have wanted to be in.”

Ali sent in this quote from People, which I remember meaning to update with but it totally slipped my mind. Anyway, better late than never.

It’s no surprise that the best gifts for Harvard grad Natalie Portman’s 23rd birthday were educational. “My mom and I have the same birthday ( June 9 ), and my dad got us vegetarian cooking classes. That was cool,” says Portman, who costars in the upcoming drama Garden State. ” And my late grandfather was an economics professor who specialized in the economy of Turkey. He wrote obscure books, and my father found them and gave them to me, which is awesome. “So, will the actress actually read the texts? Says Portman: “I don’t think I’ll be able to understand them. They’re just nice to have.”

Some really nice fanart today.

I love Matt’s drawings and this new one is no exception.

This wallpaper from Luke is so stylish. Great job.

Rachel sent in a piece of fanart.

Do people love this pic or what? Martin had another crack at it.

And finishing things off today, is a wallpaper from Eugene.

Ok, that’s it for now. I’ll be back later with the editorial, the pic poll and maybe a couple other things.
