Nat grabs another nomination

By December 14, 2004Site-news

Greetings

More good news for Nat’s Oscar nomination chances as she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress (for Closer of course) by the Broadcast Film Critics. Closer also nabbed a Best Ensemble nomination and Best Supporting Actor (for Clive) while Garden State is nominated for Best Soundtrack.

You can see the full list here.

Speaking of awards, JC found this great little blurb about Natalie receiving news of her GG nomination.

Natalie Portman was in Jerusalem reading a book when she got a call from her manager telling her she had been nominated in the best supporting actress category for her work in “Closer.” Although the movie claimed five nominations, her co-stars Julia Roberts and Jude Law were left out of the mix.

“When you make a movie like this, you’re really all there with each other, supporting each other, and it feels funny when it’s not all of you who get recognized,” Portman said. “This is always nice, but we had such a beautiful experience that that’s the most important thing.”

IGN seems to be going gaga over Nat recently. All these were in my inbox today.

Thanks to Orionsaint and Celia.

And finally, here’s a great new pic of Nat from ROTS. Thanks to Amidoll.

I’ll be back later with some site updates.
