Hiya

Thought I better clear out some of the odds and ends before the comic con info hits.

Speaking of which, if you decided to go I sure hope you got there early.

It just goes to show you can’t show up too early for anything.

I got to Comic-Con more than an hour before the 11 a.m. panel discussion where Natalie Portman — Queen Amidala of Star WarsM fame — is scheduled to appear and found more than 1,000 people already lined up outside the San Diego Convention Center waiting to get into the 6,500-seat Hall H.

“These are Star Wars fans,” said one of my fellow standees. “They’ll camp out.”

Ouch. Thanks to Lilly for the link.

JC found some news about Nat attending a recent concert.

The Tommy Hilfiger at Jones Beach Theater was only about half full Tuesday night for the traveling Sugar Water Festival, but that half a crowd roared like a full house for singers Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Queen Latifah and Floetry.

The latter, billed as the evening’s special guests, only got about 20 minutes of stage time but made the best of it by singing their hits and some covers by the likes of Mary J. Blige. The headliners then all came out together to welcome the crowd ? which included actress Natalie Portman.

Source.

Trent is an architect and he snuck some Nat into a CG rendering of a client’s apartment. Pretty clever.

Fanart is a bit scarce at the moment but…

Charlotte sent in a wallpaper and Joe sent in some Mars Attacks fanart.

Ok, hopefully I’ll be back a little later with comic con news.
