reviews and pic battle

By March 29, 2006Site-news

Hiya

You can check out the first batch of V reviews over here. Keep sending them in, there’s a lot to discuss.

And here is the second semi final of the pic battle. Congrats to MTV Nat for making it to the final. It’s taken months but we’re almost there.

Thanks Kris.

Both the choices in tonight’s pic battle are gorgeous. But that Oscars appearence wins in my view. She looked stunning that night and so incredibly elegant.

I’m hopefully going to get to see V for Vendetta tomorrow night-YAY! 😀

the MTV nat looks great, and she’ll have alot of nominations at the MTV movie awards like best movie, best supporting actress, best kiss, best fight sequence and more.

also I saw some pictures of lois lane from superman returns, and the actress playing lois makes herself look like natalie portman.I guess that’s why natalie’s name was put down for that part, but was taken by someone else.

I still dont see those 2 articles I emailed 2 days ago.

also dazza, I was thinking, maybe there should be a section on this sight where we can email some pictures of our natalie collection just like how they do on rebelscum.com which is cool.

i just saw it tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it, even though its far from perfect, its probably the closest they’ll ever come to adapting (properly) an Alan Moore piece.

No one should ever be allowed to doubt Natalie Portman’s acting abilities, EVER AGAIN!!! Definitely her best performance since the Professionals.
Hugo Weaving gives life to V, as far as I’m concerned no one could
ve done V better. Stephen Rea is also terrific asd Finch, and I also really liked Stephen Fry as Dietichs (forgive the spelling).

    Viv la V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just wanna ask that will the sessions of Quotes be update later?
as i really wanna know more quotes from her and about her!
    Thanks so much!!

  • v4v says:

i agree with you on the best kiss, best movie, and BEST actress, but best fight scene???

  • dazza says:

I’m not sure where I would rank her performance in V…actually, lets do a quick ranking.

    Closer
    Beautiful Girls
    Leon
    Anywhere But Here
    Garden State
    V for Vendetta
    Cold Mountain
    Heat
    Free Zone
    Where the Heart Is
    ESILY
    Star Wars Trilogy

I might be forgetting a film or two but I’d put her V performance somewhere in the middle. Again, her emoting was great but before the torture scene her performance was flat and lacked any intensity.

    IMO

  • preterNATural says:

Dazza, I agree with the ranking but I’d put Cold Mountain right after Leon. Great performance, despite the distracting bubble-headed baby.

  • nicole414 says:

Dazza, do you mean to tell me that she hasn’t grown since she was 13 (by saying her performance in Beautiful Girls was second to Closer)? That’s insane and I bet that would highly offend her. My top 3 are Closer, V for Vendetta, and Cold Mountain. Those are the roles where she really pushes herself as an actress. The rest she can do in her sleep.

  • dazza says:

Nicole, your logic is flawed. If I was saying she hadn’t grown as an actress since she was a kid, then her most adult performance wouldn’t be top, would it?

  • typical says:

Now that someone bought a drum…was that a suspended 7th or 9th chord?

  • yodan says:

The Mtv pic has a great style of a necklace on. Her hair looks cute too. The Stop Wars t-shirt has been in circulation for 10 years..that I know of.
