spelunking

Hiya

I *might* finally be able to bring you the big Mathilda news later this weekend. I’ll edit this update as soon as I know for sure. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it.

I’m still waiting for that Nat interview with Bryce but here is a preview from contact music:

Hollywood actress BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD was sent to “fat camp” to lose weight before filming on new movie LADY IN THE WATER began. The diminutive daughter of THE DA VINCI CODE film-maker RON HOWARD was left feeling so hungry, she considered taking her own life before teaming with M NIGHT SHYAMALAN on the project. And when NATALIE PORTMAN heard about her friend’s experience, she was shocked. In an interview with Elle magazine, Portman gushes, “You went to weight-loss camp? But you were so, so tiny!” Bryce responds, “I went to this spa. It wasn’t called a fat camp but it totally was. “There was one night where I was contemplating ending my life – that’s how hungry I was… I was on 30 pizzas a day when I got back.”

Thanks to James.

As we all know, V for Vendetta is now out on DVD and John wanted another Nat fans to know of this box set, which includes posters and a V mask.

Or not…just found this from Wolf.

Just bought the Bestbuy spec ed of V for Vendetta. Definitely not worth it. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it. The authentic V mask is a minature version, and the 4 mini posters are more like 4 postcards. What a rip.

And since I don’t have any other poll ideas…here is a new V DVD poll.

And here are the results of the last poll:

Would you like to see more of Sam and Large?

If they have a good story 30.79% (274 votes)

Absolutely 26.07% (232 votes)

No, the first film said everything that was needed 23.48% (209 votes)

Who is Sam and what the hell is a Large? 16.4% (146 votes)

No, the first film was bad enough 2.58% (23 votes)

Marcos found a Spanish Yahoo article about Goyas Ghosts. It confirms that Spain will be getting it on the 10th of November and it also has a pic of Javier Bardem from the film. I hope we hear about a release date for a US release soon.

Amy sent in a nice Making Of collage from the V DVD.

Roger F wallpaperified one of those cute skiing pics.

And Cyberkai sent in this cool fanart.

And finally, completely off topic, if you’re at all on the fence about going to see The Descent this weekend – jump the f*ck off it. I saw it a few months back and its genuinely one of the best horror/action films I’ve ever seen. Even with the sublime international release ending having been chopped off, it will kick your ass. If you like your horror, don’t watch the trailer, don’t read about it, just GO!
