Shoe today, gone tomorrow

Natalie launched her vegan shoe line, for Te Casan, 11 months ago but if you had been saving up, you might be too late. It seems Te Casan have gone under and with it goes Natalie’s shoe line. Although to be fair, when companies are going under and people are losing jobs, I don’t think we can shed too many tears about shoes. No matter how cute and eco friendly they may be.

Hollyscoop has the…err…scoop.

Natalie Portman’s vegan shoe line has just been discontinued. The shoes were really cute, but they came with a hefty price tag, which is a big turnoff for shoppers in this economy. It’s pretty sad that the collection couldn’t even last more than a year.

She launched the Natalie Portman Collection for Te Casan in February, and the shoes retailed for about $200.

Natalie’s line didn’t collapse completely on its own. The parent company, Te Casan, just went under. No word on whether or not Natalie will find another partnership for her shoe line./
