Everyone was happy with the amazon widget being added to the site, in place of google’s random ad, but unfortunately “ooh’s” and “aah’s” don’t pay the bills. So I’m having to get a bit more proactive.

So once a week I will do an update whereby I give a product some love. These items will only be things that I’m genuinely excited about, which I would be recommending to friends anyway.

Let The Right One In is, at its most basic, a Swedish vampire film. But the film is far from basic and succeeds as a true artistic and original vision. It really is one of the best horror films in years (although to be honest, its more of a drama than a horror and from a certain perspective you could even argue that its a romance at heart) and a rare horror that can be enjoyed by just about everyone, not just fans of scares and blood.

I’m certainly not alone in this opinion. IMDB users have it at 8.2, putting it comfortably in the top #250 films of all time. It has a ridiculous 97% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes (just three thumbs down reviews out of 111). And its also won 41 awards from across the globe.

The DVD link is the one on the left. Blu Ray on the right. Every time someone buys a copy of Let The Right One In, a fan of Twilight is reduced to dust. What are you waiting for?

Remember, if you use one of our links or the widget to get to Amazon, you can then navigate to whatever product you want and if you make the purchase we will get the referral.

Thanks.

“Every time someone buys a copy of Let The Right One In, a fan of Twilight is reduced to dust” Well that’s just the sort of incentive I need. SOLD!

Thanks for the recommendation, dazza. Have been meaning to see this for a while as all the glowing reviews have had me very intrigued and it’s not out in the UK yet so :click:

Let me know what you think, Harper. I saw it for the second time a couple weeks back (actually right after I saw Twilight, I needed something to clean my palate) and found it even better the second time around.

I already bought this at Target, but I can throw in another recommendation. It’s like Twatlight for grown ups.

This movie is fantastic. I’d buy it through here but it’s more expensive than in stores, even before the exchange rate and shipping are added in.

Kinda makes me proud of being a swede…

You should be. I’d be doing handstands if there was a South African film half as good as this is.

If anyone is put off by the subtitles, fear not, there really isn’t much dialogue. Or you can just wait for the Hollywood remake, which is well under way already. Sigh.

South Africa has Charlize Theron, duh. You should be proud.

    Charlize Theron isn’t a film 😛
