No Win

By December 22, 2009Nat-news

A few days ago we posted the great news that Natalie was nominated in the supporting category by the Chicago Film Critics Association. Well the awards have now been announced and unsurprisingly Mo’nique grabbed another win for her performance as the mom of the year in Precious.

Full results can be seen over here.

    Sure, why not.

i haven’t seen Precious yet (i’m afraid it will send me into a spiraled depression) but i have only heard great things about it. it doesn’t surprise me that it is winning all the awards. i mean, yes Natalie was good in Brothers, but I wouldn’t say that it was her best performance.

I have yet to see either movie, but just based on the trailers alone, Mo looks like she deserves it.

Personally I wasn’t that impressed with Precious. It has plenty of strong points but is surprisingly poor in others. Mo’nique is…good, I guess. I personally didn’t buy it though. There are two sides to her and both are so over the top and on the nose with very little in the way of connecting those two sides.

But, most people are blown away by her performance so fair enough.
