Just when we thought Natalie’s pregnancy was going to leave us without announcements of new projects for a while, yesterday we had unexpected news: according to Collider, Rian Johnson will produce 2034, a new Sci-fi film for Netflix and apparently Natalie will be associated with this project.

According to the article: “plot details about the film are being kept under wraps for now, as are additional cast members, but news broke yesterday that the film is set to begin production in Europe soon and shoot in several countries over the coming months. It’s still unclear at this time when the project will be released, but if production is set to last until near the end of the year, it’s a safe bet that it won’t premiere until sometime in 2027.”

Given that Natalie is due to give birth between August and September, it’s hard to believe she’ll be able to return to filming before the end of the year, so we should take this information with a grain of salt.
