bits and bobs

Hola

Sorry about not updating again last night. My clever little idea was scuppered by my digi cam not working. Should be able to do it tomorrow though. And calling it “AMAZING” might have been overselling it…a lot.

As you know, the DVD of Closer will be arriving at the end of the month. And in a promotion for that DVD, MSN has the first 7 minutes of the film (featuring Nat) available to watch. Check it out. Thanks to JC.

Speaking of DVD releases, the Region 2 (UK) DVD of Garden State is coming out 2nd of May. And the Region 2 of Closer is coming out 6th of June.

Cal found the full quote about the Vanity Fair cover snub.

Natalie Portman’s p.r. woman, Kelly Bush, said she told VF that Portman wasn’t interested in posing because: “Natalie is in Israel in school. She has been on the cover four times in three years. She would not have been on the front panel of the pullout, and it seemed like a long way for her to go for a photo shoot she didn’t need.”

Seems more than reasonable to me.

Regarding Nat and Liron, according to Ronny, Hannah Lazlo (who is also in Free Zone) was on Israeli tv, saying that she introduced them and that they are now dating.

That animal abuse clip from a couple days ago is now on the site for downloading. Thanks again to Mart.

Here are a couple more Oscar fashion blurbs courtesy of JC.

Comfort was another popular theme. Natalie Portman (seemed to revisit her role in “Star Wars” with a toga-like Lanvin) with her tulle gathered gown with a deep V and pearl-adorned double waistbands was ?really classic, elegant ? and it’s comfortable.?

Natalie was a true representation of stylish young Hollywood, wearing a diamond-encrusted headband. It was a modern twist on an elegant tradition.

Speaking of the Oscars, the folks at Wonderbra are swearing their newest invention makes red-carpet-worthy outfits wearable for the average woman.

And even some of the stars themselves. They pointed out that Natalie Portman and Kate Winslet might have benefited from their product on Sunday night.

The new bras are designed to be worn with extremely low-cut garments and feature a clear plastic front.

“You really can’t see it,” said Terri Barnes, Wonderbra’s PR director.

It’s available at department stores such as Macy’s and Lord & Taylor. They sell for about $30.

Haha.

Here are the results of the poll poll.

What should the new poll be about?

Her new boyfriend 36.34% (177 votes)

Her Oscar dress 27.93% (136 votes)

The Western Wall kiss 15.4% (75 votes)

The Oscar loss 10.47% (51 votes)

Turning down the Vanity Fair cover 9.45% (46 votes)

So there we have it. You want to talk about Liron. So talk.

And finally, here’s bENi again with some more wallpapers.
