Return Of The Huck

By March 9, 2011Nat-news

Mike Huckabee is, as ever, spending half his time retracting statements and apologizing for mistakes. He has already backed off on his initial comments about Natalie.

In the audio clip below he once again says that it was the host, Medved, who brought up Natalie and he just used that as a segue to talk about the first chapter of his book – “Why marriage is awesome and single parenting sucks”. Okay, that might not be the actual title čśŤ

Hopefully Natalie is someone like Benjamin, who is real money, and your pastor’s marriage plans are not enough.

One thing I was thinking about when listening to this which I hadn’t thought of before…it is not Natalie’s or any other “Starlet’s” fault that that many single mothers are on welfare, have financial problems, etc. They are not parading their pregnancies around and thumbing their noses at single mothers at the other end of the spectrum. I’m sure they are just as troubled about these women’s situations as he and most of people in this country are. But he doesn’t think about choice. Many of the women who are on welfare with 5 kids…most have a choice to stop having those kids. There are free clinics that provide birth control, for example. If they can’t find a job b/c of the economy, at least they’ll have less mouths to feed until they can hopefully get help through government programs such as work training. I’m not trying to get all political, I don’t want to start an argument about that, and I’m not condemning the single mothers that he’s talking about, but he just doesn’t want to look at other sides of his argument…he only thinks what he wants to think.

It’s like saying Huckabee is setting a bad example to Americans. He’s not very smart (he’s off a few billion years as to the date that the world began) yet he has a book deal and is very rich. Looking at him as an example, one would think we should all write books. But of course very few are able to make a career out of it, and if we tried we’d end up in poverty. Something Mike never mentions!

Think Natalie can forgive Mike more than the first idiot from Dior. Mike wasn’t making anti Semitic remarks.
