Tidbits

There are not nearly enough paparazzi in Santa Fe. Pfff. While we kick our heels waiting for JGAG filming to end and the Thor 2 trailer to arrive, here are a few small news items to nibble on.

– Natalie is being given the action figure treatment once again. She’s no stranger to action figure depictions thanks to, of course, the incredible series of flexible Closer action figures. And now she’s back for Thor 2.

Sculpted in a 7-inch scale with 16 points of articulation, the figure depicts Foster as she appears in the new film, with detailed sculpting and paint as well as an exacting likeness of Portman.

– Terrence Malick’s new film, To The Wonder, opened in theatres (and on VOD) this weekend, and The Playlist commemorated with an article about 10 actors who have been cut from his films. Including Barry Pepper, Rachel Weisz, Michael Sheen and Jessica Chastain who all didn’t make the cut for his new film. Let’s cross our fingers that Natalie won’t be on the next list.

– Speaking of which, Jeff Wells attended the premiere for To The Wonder and asked one of Malick’s producers if the Untitled Malick film (the one set in the music scene, Natalie looking smoking hot etc.) has a title yet. The answer is below…

On the way out I asked Green if the Malick film formerly known as Lawless has a new title. Not yet, she said. I told her I’d read a riff about Knight of Cups possibly going to Cannes based on an understanding that it’s closer to being completed than the film formerly known as Lawless. Green said she didn’t know and that the ball is in Terry’s court, etc. I’m presuming that sections of both will be shown to buyers, at least.
