So the film Annihilation, directed by Alex Garland (who was the man behind the stellar film Ex Machina, which was released earlier this year) has more names being attached to it. The film will be produced by Scott Rudin, whose stellar resume (including films like No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, The Social Network and more) has helped him with being one of the few EGOT winners in history (someone who has been awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony). So far, the names behind the camera are highly promising.

On screen, we still are seeing Natalie’s name being included with the film. She is due to play a biologist in the film. This character will apparently use her expertise in the field to find her missing husband, of whom has mysteriously vanished. If that isn’t exciting enough, just wait for the role call. Other stars in contention to be in the film are fellow Oscar winners Hilary Swank (Boys Don’t Cry, Million Dollar Baby) and Frances McDormand (Fargo). Just to add to the growing list is a newly familiar name: Gina Rodriguez, who has made her overnight claim to fame as the titular star in the smash television comedy Jane the Virgin. Names are simply being tossed around at this point, but things are looking good for Natalie’s involvement, as she appears to be the central character.
