It’s been a long wait but the wait is finally over.

Natalie Portman’s next film, the sci-fi-flavoured drama, Lucy in the Sky, will arrive into theatres on October 4.

The distributor announced today that “Lucy in the Sky” will be released on October 4. This means two things. First, the month of October is a great time to debut a film with Oscar aspirations, and with Natalie Portman leading the way in the cast, ‘Lucy’ looks to be one of the easy awards season choices. And second, October means that there’s still plenty of time for Hawley’s film to get that fall film festival premiere.

Here’s hoping the film is good enough to get at least a small festival/awards circuit run, like Vox Lux last year, but even if not – at least we don’t have long to wait.
