I couldn’t think of a new poll and the “who should she date” suggestion sounds familiar. But if you like that, give me some suggestions in the comments section and maybe that could be the next poll.
But right now, its time to get voting again. The next film up is V, which I think will get a pretty high score.
After the jump are the results of the previous poll, which suggest that Impossible Pursuits will get a mixed to positve reception at TIFF. We’ll find out in a week. (more…)
The Belfast Telegraph is reporting that this weekend Natalie checked out a concert by the post rockers, Explosions In The Sky.
She may be a long way away from her Stateside home, but Hollywood actress Natalie Portman is still keen to support American rock bands.
Portman took time out from shooting the movie Your Highness in Belfast to attend a concert at the Spring and Airbrake at the weekend. The star of Closer and The Other Boleyn Girl was spotted in the crowd at the Explosions In The Sky gig on Sunday night.
Wearing a backless dress, the diminutive Israeli-born actress was accompanied by Your Highness co-stars James Franco and Zooey Deschanel.
It was the debut Belfast show by the Texan instrumental rockers.
Last month Portman was also spied hanging out backstage at New York’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert at St George’s Market.
Presenting Celebrity Bric-A-Brac Theatre and their version of Romeo and Juliet. Starring Natalie, Nic Cage and Chris Walken. This is absolute gold!
I've heard that whatever Tracy Letts is writing for Natalie, it is not the adaptation of Isabella V. So we'll just have to call it The Untitled Tracy Letts Project.
This week we will definitely have that fantasy synopsis poll feature starting. We'll also have my first 5 picks for films I wish Natalie had been in (did the same…
Spoonbat found a juicy nugget within a profile on actor-writer, Tracy Letts. Lett’s is best known for being a playwright, for which he won the Pulitzer Prize, but also adapted his own play into the underrated Bug (Ashley Judd, Michael Shannon).
Letts is currently at work on a screenplay adaptation of a “kind of true-crime story” for Natalie Portman’s production company (which he picked from several work offers because Portman’s people were willing to come and see him in Chicago). He’ll have to deal with the movie version of “August,” once that picks up pace.
The only project that fits that little description, that we know of, is Isabella V. I’m going to try and see if I can get some confirmation on that one way or the other.
UPDATE – Whatever Letts is writing, it is not Isabella V. (more…)
Carlotto came across a pretty good V for Vendetta tribute on youtube. Editing is a bit too fast paced for me in spots, but other than that its nicely put…
