Eve to open Venice

By August 11, 2008Nat-news

If you were around earlier this year you might remember that aside from the more high profile short film that Natalie shot for “NY, I Love You”, she had also filmed another short starring Lauren Bacall, Ben Gazzara and the gorgeous Olivia Thirbly.

That’s all we knew about it, until now.

According to several reports, this 17 minute short film, entitled Eve, will be opening the Venice Film Festival in September.

This is fantastic news and I cannot wait to hear how its received.

Here are a couple reports. If you speak Spanish or Italian and find any important details you think are worth mentioning, please let me know.

UPDATE – I was just told the synopsis, which is…

“A young woman ends up on her grandmother’s date”

I would be very surprised if its not a comedy based on that.

    Yep, it’s a comedy.

Damn! I knew that today I had to buy the newspaper!

A romantic third age story in a comedy way, or how ever that is said.

It looks like, from the absence of comedies’ scripts going her way, she decided to make the comedies herself, uh? Not a bad idea in my opinion.
