Day two of PORTMANIA 28 is now and it’s real. And it’s sorry.

It’s a whole regretful thing. Come along and join in the misery.
First we’re proud to announce that there were only 16 reported cases of people bursting into flames yesterday, which is significantly down from most years. So good job everyone! Sorry to those 16 people. But don’t worry, they should be okay after a few skin graphs.
Now let’s start the celebrations with the 30th anniversary of Beautiful Girls!
RIP Ted Demme, the director. Besides Beautiful Girls, he directed The Ref (1994), Life (1999), and Blow (2001). All really good movies you should check out!
A lot of people think it was The Professional that made Natalie a star, but really it was Beautiful Girls that solidified it.
To celebrate 30 years of Beautiful Girls here’s Siskel and Ebert’s “Two Thumbs Up” review where they single out Natalie’s performance.
And for extra measure here’s a video by TheAwardsContender ranking all of Natalie’s Oscar nominated performances and one he thinks she should have been nominated for. (HINT: it’s what this post has been about.)
And for even more Beautiful Girls celebrations here’s Natalie being interviewed by Bobbie Wygant for the movie in 1996.
And now we’re all Beautiful Girlsed out!
Alright, it’s time for a Natalie Portman FACT! (WARNING: NatalieFACTS can cause injury or harm, turn off power before reading.)
Natalie FACT: Natalie loves cheese. But in 2009 she became Vegan and could no longer eat cheese because it’s dairy and there are rules. But she missed cheese so much that in the year 2012, due to a birthday wish mix-up and a badly timed shooting star, Natalie was transformed into a block of cheese for 24 hours!!!!

She actually enjoyed her time as cheese, but she says she wouldn’t want to do it again. And she’s been able to curb her cheese cravings with vegan cheese! So it all worked out.
But now PORTMANIA DAY 2 has come to an end! And we’ve learned very little. And we weren’t that sorry. But there’s still three days left. So come back tomorrow where we’ll learn even less! And be more sorry!
For the Love of PORTMANIA!
