PORTMANIA Does the Job

IT’S TODAY! Day Five of PORTMANIA 28 and Natalie Portman’s birthday! 6981!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATALIE!

SO, now what? More celebration? More procrastination? More PORTMANIA Songs? More Weirdness??

YES TO ALL!!

Everyone is now joined together under a PORTMANIA MOON. Even in the daytime!

45 years ago today Natalie was born!! And now PORTMANIA has existed for 25 years!! Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

You all know that Natalie is pregnant for the third time right now. And everyone knows that the third kid is the hardest to name. So we’ll help her out by picking it for her.

Her first born is named Aleph which is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

Her second born is named Amalia which is Hebrew for “I love tacos”.

(I might have screwed up that translation.)

So. We put all that information into the np.computer and it picks the best possible name!

The computer says the best possible name is a combination of the first two! And that would be…

ALFALFA!

Computer composite of future baby

Okay. So we’re not good and picking names. We’ll just let her do it. She knows the baby better than we do anyway.

It’s time for a Natalie Portman FACT! (WARNING! Natalie FACTS can cause injury.  Use assistance when moving or lifting.)

Natalie FACT: During the pandemic of 2020, Natalie was in Australia and used her time to learn the guitar and wrote 786 songs about ducks. She could not explain why. Every time she wrote a song it turned out to be about ducks. Maybe because she shares a birthday with Donald Duck. Here’s a picture of them at their annual birthday party celebration!

She played all 786 songs last year. The ducks LOVED IT. The record comes out this fall!

well, we’ve reached the end! PORTMANIA is over for another year! And hopefully very few of you burst into flames. We did all could do and we saw all the things to see.  We celebrated her three 1996 movies, we tried to solve the mystery of when  she met Martin Short. We tried to name NatBaby 3. We even imagined Natalie as a block of cheese.

and now we sit, satisfied and content,  waiting for next year’s PORTMANIA! What can you do in the meantime?? Eat some carrots. Watch Natalie movies. Write a song about ducks. You have the PORTMANIA IN YOU!! You are the meat!!

Happy birthday to Natalie Portman and HER MOM! And Donald Duck.

Thanks to you all for reading! And thanks to Belerofonte for letting me come back each year! And thanks to Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for making Raiders of the Lost Ark!

See you next year!
