the world is watching

Hey there

It’s a bit strange doing a normal update on a day as important as this. But that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

I was tempted to make a site poll to see who the Nat fan base wants to win the election but…I think it’s best to continue to keep this site (relatively) free of politics.

So this is the new poll.

As one begins, so another ends…

What do you think of the Closer poster?

Smart. 34.76% (252 votes)

Boring. 22.34% (162 votes)

At least it’s not the Garden State DVD cover. 19.72% (143 votes)

Perfect. 16.55% (120 votes)

Terrible. 4.69% (34 votes)

Let’s hear it for the smart floating heads.

I said I’d have the new photoshop contest pics for the week and after my usual closing of eyes and randomly clicking in the image section, here they are:

Now, we’re two days away from Nat on Oprah and on the 21st Nat is on the Actors Studio and now Closer is to be featured in Bravo’s The Making Of. The details are over here and if it’s half as good as the Garden State one it’ll be well worth checking out.
(Kris crashes in reminding people that the other huge thing this week is the first Revenge of the Sith trailer on StarWars.com on Nov. 4th! Let’s just say I hope you non-Hyper members have signed up on the newsletter!)

Speaking of which, Twig found that there are free screenings of Closer that you guys can try to attend. Head over here for the info.

Remember Sanjiro? No, neither do I. Well, apparently he used to do a lot of work on the site. But computer problems have him flapping in the wind like a pair of underpants. Despite said flapping he was able to send in this report:

in the new Instyle magazine for Oct 2004 with reese witherspoon on the cover. Natalie is on page 353. and they ask the question of many celebrities “What’s the lamest Halloween costume you’ve ever seen?”

Her answer:

“When I was 7, I went as Ethel Merman and one of my friends went as an artichoke. Now I look back on it and I’m like, ‘We were so weird!’ What a combination. I was into musicals-and I was a very odd little girl.”

And that’s it for now. Go VOTE!
