I’ve got quite a good roundup of mini news items today, starting with…

– Those of you looking for some truth to emerge, from what went down with Lynne Ramsay and Jane Got A Gun, will be left frustrated that an agreement between the parties has been reached and the producers will now drop their civil action. I assume Ramsay has returned her directing fee. We still haven’t heard her side of the story but Screen Daily reports that she’s working on a new film.

– The Playlist is already looking forward to next years Oscars and mentions Jane Got A Gun and the Malick films as being “in the conversation”. They’re towards the end of this page. They also did a piece looking at the Best Actress hopefuls and Natalie got an honorable mention for Jane Got A Gun.

– This minimalist Leon poster, via Twitter, is really awesome.

– And finally, we passed 12k follows on our Facebook page!

Thanks to Maribel and Belerofonte.

  • With Jane Got a Gun getting an August release, I wouldn’t get your hopes up too high for another oscar nomination. It’s not a very good release date, unfortunately.
Hopefully it’ll get pushed to November-ish time for Awards Season. We’ll see.

Well they’re going for the 3:10 to Yuma spot, which did well at the box office plus was a fringe player in the awards season that year. Got 2 minor Academy nominations. Personally I’m just hoping it’s good and finds an audience.
