Charlie Award Winners

Okay, it’s time to tie a ribbon around 2015 and say adios. You guys voted on a bunch of categories and here is the winner in each.

mostanticipated

The most anticipated film of 2016 was Jackie but there was almost a shock win for Jane Got A Gun, which was in second place by only three votes. I suppose the fact that it was “in the news” at the time of the vote explains the bias.

bestappearance

Best public appearance was a lot more comfortable with Natalie’s Cannes look running away with it.

besteditorial

Best editorial photo was incredibly close with 6 votes separating the top 3 images. However, I personally think the right image won in the end.

bestadvertising

This wasn’t even close. A complete runaway victory.

bestvideoappearance

Another easy win although there wasn’t much competition to be fair. I would have been amazed if the Harvard speech hadn’t taken the win.

bestwallpaper

Best wallpaper went to Ana and it was quite comfortable. Really pleased she got this recognition for all the work she has put into creating fanart for the site over the years.

bestdrawing

Best drawing goes to Angelina. Probably strange for her to win with an image that ISN’T Star Wars related.

worstnews

Worst news of the year was the lack of confirmation that Natalie is in Thor 3. And if you’re surprised that that “won” you can join Rachel and I on the WTF couch.

bestnews

Best news of the year was a bit unfair with the winner being the glut of new Natalie film projects. In retrospect, I probably should have split up all the films because the multiple new projects ran away with it.

ratetheyear

Finally, the rating of the Natalie year is a nice middle of the road 3, which is probably about right.

Thanks to all who voted and for Rachel for all the help.
